By India Today World Desk: The police in Hong Kong are searching sewers and rubbish tips for body parts of a model after her ex-husband and close family members were charged with her murder. Choi’s ex-husband Alex Kwong, 28, his brother and his father, were charged with killing Choi (28) – a rising star in the fashion industry who went missing last Tuesday.

On Monday, the police said that they were “looking for the head” after Choi’s limbs were discovered inside a refrigerator of a village house set up as a butchery site. “Two pots of stew believed to contain human tissue” were left at the scene. , officials said earlier.
The next day, officers in protective gear went to a landfill in Ta Kwu Ling, nearly a 15-minute drive from mainland China, to search for the missing body parts.
The massive operation with over 100 police officers was set in motion after a review of security camera footage on Monday near the crime scene in Tai Po allegedly showed a suspect moving bags from the flat where the body parts were found to a nearby refuse collection area, the South China Morning Post reported.

Choi, who has over 100,000 followers on Instagram, disappeared on February 21, according to a report filed with the police. Her last post on February 19 featured a photoshoot with fashion magazine L’Officiel Monaco.
“We believe the victim had been attacked when she was in the vehicle and that she was already unconscious when she arrived,” Chung told reporters.
According to the police, Choi was embroiled in disputes with her ex-husband and his family over a luxury property worth tens of millions of Hong Kong dollars, adding that “some people” were unhappy with the way Choi handled her finances.
Choi had four children, aged between three and 10, her friend Bernard Cheng said. Alex Kwong was the father of the older two, who are now being taken care of by Choi’s mother.

EX-HUSBAND, IN-LAWS ARRESTED
The 28-year-old’s ex-husband, Alex Kwong, his father, Kwong Kau, and brother Anthony Kwong were charged with murder on Monday and face up to life in prison. The model’s former mother-in-law, Jenny Li, has been charged with perverting the course of justice by destroying evidence.
Alex, who lives in an upscale flat in Kowloon, was found with a huge amount of cash and watches worth millions of dollars when he was arrested on Saturday as he attempted to flee the city on a boat.
A fifth suspect connected to Choi’s former father-in-law was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of “assisting criminals”.
