The final period of HBO’s Game of Thrones may have let down numerous but which includesn’t dampened the pleasure for House of the Dragon, the future prequel show that employs the Targaryen family members and exactly how they destroyed control of the Iron Throne in the beginning. The show is defined 200 many years before the activities of Game of Thrones.
After the program’s London premiere, numerous attendees tweeted good responses. One tweet read, “First eps are difficult work – much narrative documents! But we liked House of the Dragon a good deal.” It further read, “Looks incredible and enjoyed the allegorical, almost biblical propositions about the pursuit of power. #HouseoftheDragon.”
Another tweet explained downsides and some positives. It look over, “#HouseOfTheDragon ideas: -Definitely much more akin to early Thrones (smaller, grittier fight moments; great throne space discussion), -Not very obsessed about Considine, Matt Smith great though, -Dragons look spectacular, -Emotional moments truly struck difficult, -A nice surprise after s8.” Most watchers offered the dragons a thumbs up.
Another tweet read, “Dracarys! So the #Houseofthedragon really wowed me! Important takeaway: this is prime Game of Thrones! The opener does a great job of introducing a whole new cast (all at the premiere) of characters, the world is familiar, but still shocking. It’s good to be back!” One critic also labeled as it much better than Game of Thrones and blogged, “House of the Dragon is EPIC. Arguably much better than Game of Thrones.”
Much like Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon is certainly not keeping right back on assault and gore. “I must add… in true GoT style, there was at least one triggering hard to watch scene. Just… be warned,” read one tweet.
House of the Dragon is the one of the numerous spin-offs to be circulated by HBO to offer the Game of Thrones world. The reveal premieres in India on August 22 on Disney Plus Hotstar.
