Flamin’ Hot, the biopic about the creator of the iconic Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, has received its first official teaser. Flamin’ Hot Cheetos have been an irreplaceable part of the snack food marketplace since their debut in the early 1990s. The film, which was announced half a decade ago, is now set to premiere on Hulu on June 9.
Today, search light Photos unveiled the official first look at the Flamin’ Hot movie with a brand-new teaser.
The teaser might only be 23 seconds long, but it packs a spicy punch. It depicts one scene from the film, which premieres at SXSW today, featuring a Western-style standoff between a young child and a Flamin’ Hot Cheeto prototype.
Everything We Know About Flamin’ Hot
One of the most exciting aspects of Flamin’ Hot is the fact that it’s the narrative directorial debut of Desperate Housewives To install star Eva Longoria. Although she directed several shorts and the documentary La Guerra Civil Before this, Longoria is making a bold new step in her directorial career. She also cut her teeth on episodes of major television programs, including Jane the Virgin, black-ishand Gordita Chronicles,
Although Longoria directed the film, she is not currently slated to appear onscreen, though she may make a cameo. The main cast of the film includes Jesse Garcia as Richard Montañez, a janitor at Frito-Lay who says that he invented the iconic product, Annie Gonzalez as his wife Judy Montañez, and Emilio Rivera as Vacho Montañez. They are joined by Dennis Haysbert, Tony Shalhoub, Pepe Serna, and Longoria’s Unplugging co-star Matt Walsh.
So far, specific details of Flamin’ Hot have otherwise been thin on the ground. However, if this teaser is any indication, it’s going to take on a lightly comic tone. However, given the fact that Montañez’s claims have been disputed, it may take on a more dramatic and socially minded tack as it goes along. Only time will tell, as will the first words from the film’s premiere at SXSW.
