QUINCY, Ill. – It wasn’t the end of the spring break road trip that the Augustana baseball team was looking for in a 10-0 loss at Quincy. The Vikings head back to Sioux Falls with an 11-9 overall record while the Quincy Hawks improve to 11-3.
The Hawks tallied two runs in the third, three in the fourth, one in the fifth and two each in the sixth and seventh innings to end the game after seven innings.
Augustana recorded just three hits in the contest, one each from Drey Dirksen, Jack Hines and Maddux Baggs,
seth miller started the game on the bump for AU, striking out eight hitters over five innings, allowing six runs on five hits. Caleb Kranz and JD Hennen each pitched in relief with Kranz recording a pair of strikeouts.
