Ali Fazal is on cloud nine. After all, his Hollywood film Kandahar has hit the theaters in North America today. Kandahar, directed by Ric Roman Waugh, also stars Gerard Butler. To mark the special day, Ali Fazal has shared a series of behind-the-scenes pictures featuring himself, Gerard Butler, Ric Roman Waugh and the crew of Kandahar. In one of the slides, we also get a glimpse of Ali Fazal’s wife, actress Richa Chadha. Along with the album, the actor has written a note giving a shout out to his director. It read, “Behind some greatness is always a director orchestrating it all!! Kandahar hits hard today!! To install North America. I can’t thank you both enough. Ric for bringing me on board this journey.
For his co-star Gerard Butler, Ali Fazal added, “And, Mr Gerard Butler, for all things notorious on and off camera…. (and much more). Ali Fazal also thanked the “entire crew of Kandahar on sets and off sets. He said, “You people are the real heroes. Will share more pics later. Go buy your tickets now. Responding to the post, actor Pulkit Samrat wrote, “Woah” along with fire emojis. Casting director Shanoo Sharma said, “Ali, did you give Gerard a kiss from me?” To this, the actor replied, “I actually did.” Shanoo replied with a “thank you, Fuzzles” note.
Before this, Ali Fazal dropped a still of his character from the film Kandahar on Instagram and wrote, “Pulse-pounding action apparently – An adrenaline ride made for the big screen…Here’s a screen grab for some context.
