Actor Feroze Khan has lent support to his ‘favourite’ actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui after the latter opened up on rape allegations leveled against him by his “ex-wife” Aaliya Siddiqui. The Habs actor is also accused of domestic violence and abuse by his former wife Aliza Sultan.
On Tuesday, Feroze took to Twitter and retweeted Nawazuddin’s statement on Aaliya’s allegations. “Sending best wishes to favorite actor,” he wrote, adding a stay-strong bicep emoji.
On Monday, Nawazuddin shared his version of events on social media. Aaliya had accused Nawazuddin of rape and went on to allege that he had thrown her and their two kids out of their Mumbai home.
However, he stated that Aaliya and he have not lived together for years and are already divorced. Sharing his statement on social media, he wrote, “This is not an allegation but expressing my feelings.” He alleged that his ex-wife is doing all of this for “more money” and that it’s a pattern. Detailing how he has funded Aaliya’s films and her luxurious lifestyle, he added that she has accused him “falsely” many times only to retract it later when she gets her demanded money.”
Last year, after months of speculation and rumours, Feroze confirmed that he and his wife of four years, Aliza, had parted ways. Before the Khaani actor issued a statement, Aliza shared she had to “endure infidelity, blackmail and degradation” by Feroze. However, the actor denied all the allegations and the former couple is fighting the case in courts.
