The Center on Friday launched an Indian Sign Language (ISL) dictionary cell utility referred to as Sign Learn containing 10,000 phrases.
The app was launched by Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Pratima Bhoumik. Sign Learn relies on the Indian signal language dictionary of the Indian Sign Language Research And Training Center (ISLRTC) which accommodates 10,000 phrases. The app is accessible in Android in addition to iOS variations, and all of the phrases within the ISL dictionary might be searched by way of Hindi or English medium, officers mentioned. The signal movies of the app may also be shared on social media.
“The app has been developed to make the ISL dictionary easily available and to make it more accessible for the public at large,” a senior official mentioned to PTI.
